Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using the MAWL mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and MAWL ("we," "us," or "our"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

MAWL is a mobile application designed to help users track discipleship progress through a structured training program. The App provides:

• Integration with iPhone contacts for contact management
• Progress tracking through customizable training items
• MAWL methodology implementation (Model, Assist, Watch, Leave)
• Data synchronization via iCloud
• Export and backup functionality

The App is provided "as is" and we make no warranties regarding its availability, functionality, or suitability for your specific needs.

3.1 Appropriate Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You will not:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App to violate any applicable laws or regulations

3.2 Data Accuracy

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of any data you enter into the App. We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from inaccurate or incomplete data.

3.3 Backup Responsibility

While we provide backup and export functionality, you are ultimately responsible for backing up your data. We recommend regular backups to prevent data loss.

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of your information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

4.1 Data Ownership

You retain ownership of all data you input into the App. We do not claim ownership of your personal data or content.

4.2 Data Storage

Your data is primarily stored locally on your device and, if enabled, synchronized via iCloud. We do not store your personal data on our servers.

4.3 Data Loss

While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee against data loss due to device failure, software issues, or other circumstances beyond our control.

5.1 App Ownership

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MAWL and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.

5.3 Restrictions

You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute the App
• Use the App for commercial purposes without permission
• Remove or alter any proprietary notices
• Create derivative works based on the App

6.1 No Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

6.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR USE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

6.3 Third-Party Services

The App integrates with third-party services (such as iCloud and Apple's Contacts app). We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or terms of these third-party services.

7.1 App Updates

We may release updates to the App to improve functionality, fix bugs, or add new features. Some updates may be required for continued use of the App.

7.2 Terms Updates

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through the App or other appropriate means. Your continued use of the App after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

8.1 Termination by You

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. You may also export your data before deletion.

8.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

8.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately. We are not obligated to provide you with access to your data after termination, so we recommend exporting your data before termination.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which MAWL is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will remain in full force and effect.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and MAWL regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
